Delivery and Returns

Delivery 

Delivery is currently free on the island of Ireland. For almost all products delivery is completed
within 2-5 weeks depending on the geographic location of both the supplier and the customer.
Delivery lead time for Irish based suppliers is 2-3 weeks; for Non-Irish suppliers it is usually 2-5
weeks. However delivery is entirely dependent on our suppliers having your order itself in stock.
While every effort will be made to keep within this delivery time frame it may not always be possible
to do so - in the event of a late delivery we will inform you ASAP. www.homelinefurniture.ie will not
be held responsible for delays outside of our control. 


Whilst we generally offer free delivery to offshore islands and remote mountainous areas or nearest
large town, we cannot assemble items with these delivery addresses and delivery times may be
somewhat longer. If your dwelling is a non-standard one (for example with narrow non-standard
doors, multiple staircases, difficult to traverse staircases, numerous access floors) or in any way
difficult to access, you are requested to disclose this information to us in the special instructions of
the checkout page - failure to do so may result in non-delivery or incur delivery charges. 


Once an ordered item arrives in our warehouse you will be contacted ASAP regarding an
approximate delivery date which will normally be between Monday to Friday during normal business
hours. You will also be contacted a day or two before the actual delivery and be given an accurate
delivery date and time. The onus is on you to make sure all phone calls/voice messages are
answered, failure to do so may result in non-delivery.  If delivery outside of these hours or on a
specific day/time is required, we will strive to accommodate you but this may not be possible and
may incur extra delivery charges. 


If the shipping address is different to the billing address, please pay due regard to statements in this
section - the same conditions will apply to this address. Please give any extra information in the
special instructions section of checkout page, otherwise we cannot guarantee a timely & successful
delivery.

If delivery/assembly date is agreed and nobody is present at the stated delivery address to accept
delivery, then extra charges may be incurred for an agreed second delivery date/time. 


Deliveries cannot be completed without a customer/proxy receipt signature unless this is specifically
pre-arranged and agreed. 


Customer one year guarantee will commence from the date of signed delivery docket. 

 

 

Returns

Returning a product:

If you have changed your mind about a purchase, you have 14 days from the day you received your product(s) to advise us that you want to return your purchase.  You can contact us by calling our team on 0818 333 757 or by emailing us at [email protected]

 

T&C’s:

To receive a full refund for your order, the item must be in a resaleable, “as new” condition and be in the original, undamaged packaging.  It is your responsibility to return the item to our warehouse in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.  If unable to return your product(s) we will arrange collection during business hours (Monday to Saturday) if requested – in these circumstances, a charge of €49.00 will apply to cover the cost of collecting and returning the items.  Any item(s) out of packaging will incur a minimum 25% restocking fee.  We will not reimburse any costs accrued using alternative return methods other than the options provided to you.  Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at time of purchase, usually within 10 days of the item(s) return to our warehouse for inspection.

 

Returns of Damaged or Defective Item(s):

In the unlikely event that you receive an order that is damaged or defective, please contact us within 3 days of receiving your order.  You can call our team at 0818 333 757 or contact us by email at [email protected]. Please include your name, order number, phone number and photos of the damaged item.  We will arrange to have the item repaired on-site if possible or collect the damaged item for inspection by the supplier.  A refund will be made to the payment method used during your original transaction if you do not wish to receive a replacement. 

If you would like to replace the damaged item, this will be issued to you as soon possible after receipt of the damaged item.  If the item originally ordered is not available, we will offer a similarly priced alternative.

 

My item does not fit

Dimensions of all our products are listed on each product page.  It is your responsibility to measure the area in which you will be placing your new furniture, along with the route to the item’s final location (doorways, stairways, etc.).  If the item does not fit and you wish to return it, you must let us know within your 14 day cooling-off period. It must not have been used and must be in perfect resaleable condition.  Mattresses which have been ordered incorrectly or in the wrong size can only be returned for refund if they are in original packaging and have not been slept on.  Please see the T&C’s in our Returns Policy for futher information.

 

Returns Exclusions:

We are unable to offer a return on made to order item(s), floor models or display models.  For hygiene reasons mattresses which have been removed from their original packaging may not be returned unless they are faulty.
